If you think that vintage movies didn’t have double meaning jokes, then watch this video!

People say that the quality of films has come to all time low now. Films like Mastizaade, Kya Super Kool Hai Hum, Great Grand Masti have taken double meaning jokes to the new level. But you will be surprised to know that even the vintage Bollywood movies had lots of double meaning references. This clip from Rajesh Khanna and Sridevi‘s movie Maqsad is a perfect example of what I’m talking about. The two speak in riddles and give us gems like –

Woh jaata tha, main bulati thi
Woh daalta tha, main roti thi

English translation

He used to go, I used to call
He’d put it in, I’d cry

(They’re talking about bangles)

Aroda maroda, thook laga ke chhoda

English translation –

Twisted it around, spat on it and made it enter

(They’re talking about a thread which goes into a needle)

Mujhe mera nahi dikhta
Tum apni dekh sakti ho
Mera bhi tum dekh sakti ho

English translation –

I can’t see mine
You can see yours
You can see mine too

(This one makes Sridevi blush)
